How quick, we are already on the 14-day mark during the Ramadhan month! I hope it has been kind to you so far. Mine has been amazing alhamdulillah; iftars with family & friends, had khusyuk terawih sessions and am looking forward to bringing myself out to explore more bazaars (even though i have a distinct dread for crowds and heat)!
I have also noticed that online & offline shops both have been full steaming ahead with their newest eid collections and frankly, it left me a bit overwhelmed. Am i the only one like that? Raya is definitely a legit excuse for you to try something new, something high fashion-y and still can get away with it. Unfortunately, I am not as adventurous.
One thing lingers in my head while i shop for Eid this year – COMFORT. Yes, comfort is what I need. I don’t have kids yet but all i am looking for is a baju kurung that is roomy to hide my food baby while on my rounds of visiting, ditching heels for flats (what have i become) and going minimal on the accessories as this Sister here no longer has time for long necklaces and hoop earrings. Yep, 18-year-old me will definitely scream.
But…. not all is lost. I have done my decent amount of rummaging online and found some pieces that still say “chic” and gives comfort simultaneously. Win-win eh? Proceed on below to see my choices and the links for purchase!
The winning brands in my eyes for this year have got to be Whimsigirl & Parca Apparels. Look at how roomy they are! The pink one below by Whimsigirl even has pockets! However, if you worry that you are not standing out enough, try Parca Apparels. Their designs are amazing!
When in doubt, go to your nearest Charles & Keith outlet. Or if you are that kind of risky individual, their website. After a lot of perusing around, here are my favourites! Low, chunky heels just as how i like them. Say goodbye to leceh strappy heels, its time for you to just slip in and move on to the next house with ease!
I love investing in a good clutch bag that could accompany well with every outfit even after Raya, e.g for weddings & kenduri. Whilst i would typically lean more towards the good ol’ black, a dose of dusky blue & silver sometimes does the trick as well. With that said, here are my top picks!
